NEW BUILD TV AERIALS

New Home TV Aerial Installation.


You have just received your keys to your new home and plugged the TV in and found that you have no signal from the built in wall socket. When house builders they will fit usually a socket in the lounge as standard, some install one in the master bedroom and in some case all rooms or they can be an addition discussed as an extra during the construction phase.

TYPES OF WALL SOCKETS
There a few different types of wall sockets that are used a lot is down to the quality of the house builder, or maybe you have requested something with a few more options. Most sockets we come across are a single socket just for the TV Aerial, we then move on to a combined socket with a few sockets and cables so TV Aerial, Satellites & FM/DAB can be fed. Finally a full media plate with TV Aerial, Satellite, FM & dab, Telephone and Ethernet port for hard wired network options.

PRE-WIRING NEW BUILDS

When the house is under construction and at first fix phase before plaster boarding etc, all the electrics, network cables and TV Aerial cables will be put in place. In most cases the TV Aerial & Satellite cables  will be wired from the sockets up to the loft area, It is important you discuss with your home builder before this stage is finished of any additional sockets you may require adding the basic install as it can be very hard to add sockets once the home is finished.

TV AERIAL INSTALLATION

With all the cables in place in your loft we can in most cases a suitable High Gain Digital TV Aerial inside the loft space to save having the aerial on the outside of the building ( not the best thing to look at ). If you have multiroom cables feeding up to the loft we can connect up to 4 with an additional splitter 


          In most cases this is the case however there quite a few factors that can affect if a TV Aerial will work.


 Line of sight to transmitter ( through your roof only or other properties etc will weaken signals 

 Distance from transmitter ( how strong signal is at your location ).
 Building materials used in roof ( sometimes foil lined insulation board is used under the felt ).
 How many points to be connected ( a typical 4 way splitter will loose 6 db of signal ).

If we are struggling getting enough signal inside your loft then we can use amplifiers to gain more signal even if your house builder hasn't fitted an electric socket we can use 12 volt masthead amplifiers. On the odd occasion we have to fit outside but we will endeavour to try to avoid the look of your new home.

**  DIGITAL TV AERIAL AND ALL SOCKETS WILL BE METER TESTED TO MAKE SURE SIGNALS ARE PERFECT. **

If single or multiroom needs an amplifier due to reception issues then an additional £35.00

 These are fixed prices with cables in loft or another central location, additional points can be added and routing of cable is best to discuss on site.
